Myth—Giving 10% Is A Tithe
Law Is A Contract Between God And Israel!
Apostle Paul also teaches in Galatians 3:20 that the Law is a contract between “God and Israel.” It is not between God and the Americans, the British, the French, the Italians, etc. Nor is the Law a contract between God and Christians. Where then is the righteousness in misappropriating the
word of God for self serving mammon purposes? So in addition to the tithe teacher placing you under a curse and making you an enemy of God, the tithe preacher robs God by trying to interfere in contractual matters, which he or she has no business being involved in. Listen, the minister is supposed
to teach the word of God [and the Law], not pervert it!
Getting back to a couple of other nuances to consider. We know that we are not supposed to “live under” the ceremonial laws [of which tithing is
a part], but what about the civil and social laws? Examining a couple of verses will answer this question for us. If you turn to Deuteronomy 17 and start reading about the administration of judges, you will quickly again find the use of sacrifices [rituals]. Therefore, civil laws appear to be in the same
category of ceremonial laws. If you turn to Deuteronomy 21 and read about the rebellious son, you will find that social laws also fall in the same category; they “stoned” rebellious sons. It is clear that all the Laws involving rituals no longer apply to any true believer in Christ Jesus. To live
under such ritual laws is to insult God’s grace and the sacrifice of His Son.
Now I want to make sure you understand an important aspect of the Law in regards to these various decrees and statutes, especially the ones we
no longer have to observe. To illustrate the point I want to make, go and study the “law of marriage” in Deuteronomy 22 and you will find the punishment for “not being a virgin” for a woman who has just been married, but exhibits no evidence of her virginity.
“But if it is true that the evidences of virginity were not found in the young woman, then they shall bring her to the door of her father’s house and the men of her city shall stone her to death.” Deuteronomy 22:20-21 AMP
