Myth—Giving 10% Is A Tithe
Paul also makes it clear that the Law is not for the righteous, but for
the unrighteous. We can’t be righteous? Wrong! Remember Luke 1:5-6?
“Knowing and understanding this: that the Law is not enacted for the righteous (the upright and just, who are in
right standing with God), but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinful, for the irreverent and profane, for those who strike and beat and [even] murder fathers and strike and beat and [even] murder mothers, for manslayers, [For] impure and immoral persons, those who abuse
themselves with men, kidnapers, liars, perjurers—and whatever else is opposed to wholesome teaching and sound doctrine.” 1 Timothy 1:9-10 AMP
Now, do you remember that I told you if you could truly understand the importance of the two great commandments, you could understand every person of faith like myself? That you would know what drives them? That if you could take these two commandments to the bowels of your soul and
into your heart that you would be on automatic pilot with your spirit? Well, here is how it works.
The first commandment is to “Love God” — with all your heart. In
other words, you need to take God into the bowels of your soul and into your very heart where every other person you deeply love finds true fellowship with your spirit. Where do you think my love for my beloved wife Jackie resided, in my mind? No, my love for her was in the bowels of my soul and
in the very heart of my entire earthly being. Do you think I ever wanted to intentionally treat Jackie poorly? Do you think I even wanted to displease her? Do you think I wanted to disobey her desires for me when I knew it would hurt her spirit? Do you think I wanted to love her with every fiber of
my earthly existence? Do you think I made mistakes during our thirty-nine year life together? The answers should be obvious to you. If you can fully understand the answers to these questions, it will resolve the conundrum of the faith vs. law debate in Christianity today. Virtually every strong feeling
of love that ever emanated out of your physical being came from within your true heart. It’s the heart inside your soul, not your physical heart organ.
