Myth—Giving 10% Is A Tithe

The Holy Spirit is bestowed on those who obey Him (God).

See Acts 5:32 AMP

“He became the author and source of eternal salvation to all those who give heed and obey Him.” Hebrews 5:9 AMP

“For the time [has arrived] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will [be] the end of those who do not respect or believe or obey the good news (the Gospel) of God?” 1 Peter 4:17 AMP

You can find more information about specific commands of God in Deuteronomy chapters six through eleven. If you read that section of the Bible, you will observe these interesting commands from God in the midst

of some others. Question, which of the following four commands would no longer be important to God or His Son? Would any of these be part of a list that Jesus might have on the subject of those who “practice lawlessness?” Reflecting on the two great commandments above, one would think so. I do.

1. The command to teach the Law. 2. The command to remember the Lord. 3. The command to love God.

4. The command to study and obey the commands.

The Law Does Not Void Abraham’s Covenant!

Let’s consider a few more issues concerning the Law, starting with Apostle Paul’s letter to the Galatians. I will then try to tie all the Law stuff together in a meaningful way for you. My desire is that you understand fully that the tithe is a part of the ceremonial laws that are now done away with,

but the commandments, commands and some other laws still need to be obeyed. All of us need to understand exactly what Jesus means when he uses the phrase “you who practice lawlessness.” If we don’t understand it, it may be to our eternal damnation. Turn in your Bible to Galatians 3:15-29 for Paul’s argument that the Law does not void out Abraham’s covenant.
