Myth—Giving 10% Is A Tithe

The Summation Of The Law And The Prophets!

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you

do] yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39 AMP

Now in your consideration of which laws to obey and not to obey, where does this teaching of Jesus fit in? Would you ignore the great first

command or the second? If so, why? Within this teaching of Jesus lies the key to truly understanding all people of faith and what really drives them. That includes myself. I don’t have to give much thought to the Law other than these two commands and I am assured of eternal life. The entire Bible

stands on these two commandments. The person who earnestly takes them into the bowels of their soul will turn on the automatic pilot of their spirit with God. Think about these commands, I will come back to them later.

In John 14:21 (AMP), Jesus gave the following instruction.

“The person who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who [really] loves me; and whoever [really] loves me

will be loved by my Father, and I (too) will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) myself to him [I will let myself be clearly seen by him and make myself real to him.]”

In John 14:23 (AMP), Jesus gave this clarification of verse 21.

“If a person [really] loves me, he will keep my word [obey my teaching]; and my Father will love him, and WE will

come to him and make OUR home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.”

I am a living testimony to the veracity of Jesus’ teachings since both he and the Father dwell within me. They are both REAL to me!
