Myth—Giving 10% Is A Tithe
FACT: Common people could not enter the old Holy of Holies.
“And the Holy Spirit uses all this to point out to us that under the old system the common people could not go into the Holy of Holies as long as the outer room and the entire
system it represents were still in use.” Hebrews 9:8 LIV
FACT: We can now enter the new Holy of Holies at any time.
“And so, dear brothers, now we may walk right into the
very Holy of Holies, where God is, because of the blood of Jesus.” Hebrews 10:19 LIV
If you think that God wants you to sit in your pew on Sunday morning
and just get apostasy dumped on you in a one-way verbal transaction, you are wrong. He wants a two-way communication and a direct fellowship with you. Yet, it is impossible for you to fully participate with God unless you appreciate the fact that Christ destroyed the old Temple and Sabbath laws.
He did this to give us a better covenant. If you tithe and observe other ritual Old Testament laws, you are not under the new covenant of Christ. If you are shallow in God’s Word, you cannot engage God in deeper conversation.
FACT: Jesus Christ annulled all of the Sabbath laws and rules related to personal and Temple rituals. Read carefully the Sabbath commandment and the accompanying rules to implement it given by God to “keep it holy” in His eyes. Remember, we are not talking about worshipping God on a
Saturday or Sunday, we are talking about how to obey the “instructions that accompanied” the fourth commandment of God, which was given to man as part of the contract between God and Israel.
The Sabbath Commandment
FOURTH COMMANDMENT: “Observe the Sabbath day, to
keep it holy, as the Lord your God [has] commanded you.” Deuteronomy 5:12 NKJV
