Finally, when it comes to the issue of God’s eternal character, there is the issue of His absolute sovereignty over every aspect of life. That means God will do as He pleases in our life. He is the only One who sees the total picture; we only see a small part of what is going on. It is the reason King

David said: “Who can tell whether the Lord will be gracious to me, that the child may live?” It is one reason that some people are healed and others are not. It is one reason why some people live short lives and others live long lives. Listen to God’s Word and understand that when you submit your life to Him, you must acknowledge His Sovereignty over you, or life will not be

easily understood during times of difficulty and trial.

“I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

Exodus 33:19

“I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.” Rom. 9:15
