Judge With Righteous Judgment!

And what is that righteous judgment except that of God’s laws and of what He defines as righteous? Jesus taught that he did not judge anyone, but went on to say that if he did judge it would be by God’s standards. In other

words, Jesus would and will be applying God’s righteous standards to our sin and not his own view of what is right or wrong in our human life.

“You judge by human standards; I judge no one, but if I

judge, my judgment will be true, because I am not alone: the One who sent me is with me.” John 8:15-16 NJB

“By myself I can do nothing; I can judge only as I am told

to judge, and my judging is just, because I seek to do not my own will but the will of Him who sent me.” John 5:30 NJB

Judge With God’s Righteousness!

You can observe the standard that Jesus Christ applied. It was that of God’s righteousness. As a Christian, you are to emulate Christ. Therefore,

you must also apply God’s righteousness as the standard of your life. This means you must know the Word and live by it. Understanding the purpose of Jesus Christ is as simple as understanding these words from Peter.
