Your new life walking with God started at the very moment you gave God your heart. It was a huge CHOICE that you made directly from your heart. This should have been a point of total surrender to God’s authority

that you eventually came to in life. You may have reached that decision of your heart either through a great struggle or tragedy in your life or through simply a gift of understanding that God gave you. For me, personally, it was through the gift of understanding that God gave me on one particular day after 32 years of wandering around spiritually in life. Admittedly, it was a

low point in my life and my heart was fully open to God’s Spirit. It was an epiphany that I will never forget. I will tell you how I personally found God and became His apostle in an upcoming chapter. For now …

It was Friday, May 2 when I finished Chapter 10 and posted it on the Internet for review. God had given me the first page and most of the above paragraph for this chapter before I stopped writing. I remember vividly how awestruck I was at God’s providential hand in the life of Jackie and I. That

night as I sat with Jackie watching some television, she started to sleep while resting on the couch. As I watched her intently, I couldn’t help notice her continued labored breathing. I felt God was telling me once again that it was her time and that it would be soon. I found myself again praying to God for

divine healing of Jackie’s body. Healing did not come and Jackie died on June 3, a little over four weeks after that particular night.

It is now 5 pm on Friday, August 22 — a full 16 weeks or almost four

months after God gave me the opening information for this chapter. I do not know if I am ready to resume. However, God told me this afternoon that it is His time. It certainly does not seem like I am emotionally ready yet and certainly things are not perfect. In fact, I have quite the mess on my hands in many regards. Yet today God brought back into my remembrance one of

my favorite Bible verses. It is a comment from Solomon on the subject of “waiting for perfect conditions” and it is found in his book of Ecclesiastes.

“If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.” Ecclesiastes 11:14 LIV
