today to accompany some very heavy physical pain I feel in my body. It is now twelve days since I restarted writing this chapter. God is with me.

The Reverend Michael Bray writes in an Internet article7 on Sept 2

after quoting some Scripture and speaking of Paul Hill, “we jail or murder our own prophets.” He goes on to conclude: “But let us not fail to honor him [Paul Hill] as one [prophet of God].” Really? Was Paul Hill a prophet of God as Mr. Bray and others believe? Did the State of Florida kill God’s prophet when they executed Paul Hill? How do we determine if this is true?

We know that God will judge man according to his ways. So what about us? Are we really supposed to not judge others according to their ways? Aren’t we created in the image of God? As we emulate Jesus, don’t

we emulate God’s character as Jesus did? Wouldn’t this include judging?

Will Paul Hill receive a “great reward” in Heaven like he believed? Will he be a martyr in God’s eyes or is he just another sinner? Wasn’t he

supposed to know God’s Word better than the average believer given his ministerial education? Here we have two examples of opposite positions in terms of Christians judging others. Let’s resolve the issue of Paul Hill first and consider only the written word of the Lord to get our answers.

The issue of being of prophet must be dealt with to satisfy those in the Christian community like the Reverend Bray. The first thought that came to my mind was whether or not prophets premeditatedly murdered people. I

don’t think so. However, I will do a quick search of the biblical text. Nope. I cannot find any instance in the Bible where a prophet premeditatedly murdered someone. Elijah did execute four hundred-fifty false prophets for God in 1 Kings 18. However, the penalty for false prophets is death and Elijah was only seeing to it that the word of God was carried out.

God used prophets to deliver His news of impending doom or disaster. God also used prophets to either deliver His Word to the people at large or to a specific individual. Prophets were messengers of God, not

murderers.

If you believe in the awesome power of God Almighty like I do, I can assure you that He doesn’t need Paul Hill or anyone else to execute abortion
