“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

The Apostle Paul knew you shouldn’t waste any time judging those on the outside because God has judged them. He has identified who will be

excluded from eternal life [unless they repent & change their ways]. I.E.

“Do you not realize that people who do evil will never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake-the sexually

immoral [fornicators, homosexuals, lesbians], idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites, thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers [pastors who steal churches], none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.

Some of you *used* to be of that kind: but you have been washed clean, you have been sanctified, and you have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of our God.” 1 Cor. 6:9-11 NJB

Don’t be tempted to say that after Christ washes you through the Spirit “everything is permissible”. Paul writes that verbiage next in verse 12 [not shown] to teach us that, with the Spirit, God will guide our walk. It will

not be the rules of men. If you take such a stand, it indicates that you are one of those people Jesus will say: “I never knew you.” Those seeking to rationalize their sin, unfortunately, often abuse the teachings of Apostle Paul in this type of manner. The operative words in Paul’s teachings are verse 11, which states, “Some of you used to be of that kind.” To use 1 Cor. 6:12

as a justification to return to sin is a prime example of the modern teachings of Christian mythology. Get a new life, a life with God!

It is God’s eternal character to judge between the righteous [good] and

sinners [evil]. Jesus reinforced this eternal character of God and told us that he would be using God’s righteousness as his basis to judge. As Christians are to emulate Christ, we are also to judge.
