sinner himself. If you want to know why, you only have to consider what the Apostle James wrote about sin. It clarifies the matter of sin and is broader than any list of sins. The Apostle James writes …

“Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” James 4:17 NKJV

“So any person who knows what is right to do but does not do it, to him it is sin.” James 4:17 AMP

This is one of those times to perk up your ears to the word of God. This definition of sin will be applied to you in addition to the sins that God itemized such as homosexuality, etc. By the way, don’t think for a moment

that I am a homophobe. It is not my definition of sin! Therefore, if anyone wants to label me that way, they should know that it is God who is at the receiving end, not I. A classic tactic in the realm of justifying this and other sin is to call those who oppose the sin names. How childish in God’s eyes.

I like this definition, especially the clarity of the Amplified Bible. It is tailor fitted to virtually every individual. That is because the standard shifts. Think about it. The average Episcopal Church member might be

ignorant of God’s Word on the sin of homosexuality, but those Episcopal bishops know better. Therefore, for those ignorant, God might view their supporting this sin as unintentional [assuming their heart is otherwise right with God]. However, it is certainly considered a willful sin by someone as

knowledgeable as a bishop. Nice touch God. It really covers the sin bases.

In another illustration, I bore witness to the theft of Solid Rock Church. I have studied corporate law for my own business adventures for over 25 years. When the pastor manipulated the Articles of Incorporation

and By-Laws, it went right over the heads of the average member of the church, but I understood. Do you think God holds me to a higher standard?

Do you think that what the average member needed to do was a little

different than what I needed to do? Exactly. What is determined to be right is in the eyes of each individual based upon the knowledge and information they have in hand. Not understanding that something evil had taken place
