All of this is to let you know that the decision of my heart had some

consequences. I was ready and willing to let God take over. I honestly had come to the conclusion I had given it my best shot in life and had come up short. Certainly, for me, there had to be a better way to live. There had to be more truth to this existence that I had not explored. There was and all it

took to find it—was for me to surrender my heart 100% to God. I have heard it preached that the heart is actually the mind. This is not true and I want you to fully understand what it is that I actually surrendered to God. Therefore, let’s look at another graphic that expands on the “soul” picture

and considers the mind, heart and emotions. The essence of who you are is expressed by your soul. The spirit and flesh [body] are two spiritual forces exerted on the soul trying to control, who it is or will become. The soul looks something like this graphic albeit this is an incomplete illustration.
