At some point God’s Spirit and your spirit are linked up and they exert full control over your soul and body. You are headed for Heaven and

your earthly walk then looks like this.

Walking In The Spirit

Notice that there is not a perfect overlap. In other words, you could

still stumble and be subject to a limited control of your flesh. However, this graphic reflects what it means to walk in the spirit. It means that your soul or essence of who you are is not focused on fleshly concerns. It is the spirit that exercises primary control over your soul. Your soul then focuses on

heavenly things, not on earthly things. When I gave myself to God in the full 100% surrender of my heart, the above is what it looked like spiritually.

Walking in the flesh is an exact opposite and it looks like this. In this instance, the Spirit exhibits little control over the soul. This is a life of sin.
