Chapter 13: A Light On My Path

Page 3

I did not state that this “proudest” one moment was when I “knew

about” God. For thirty-two years I had been given information and known about God. The proudest moment I had was when I actually surrendered myself into His loving hands. There is a difference. Knowing about God involves the head and all the mental thoughts of God and who He is. The

“surrender” to God involves a decision from your heart to enter into an everlasting relationship with God. A relationship that starts at the present moment right smack in the middle of your now earthly journey, even your earthly difficulties and even in the middle of your earthly trials and

sufferings. Yes, even in the middle of a very difficult moment of your own life, you can find yourself in the hands of a loving God who will guide you from that point forward—if you make the right choice from your heart.

Did not Jesus say you would “do greater works than he did?”

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father.” John 14:12

How could you ever expect such a reality of “greater works” to occur if you didn’t fully surrender yourself to God? How could you ever expect such a reality if you were still “tied” into a physical and materialistic world?

You have entered life as part of this world’s material and physical system. The choice now from God is clear; you are either a friend to this world or a friend to Him. Listen to the word.

“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” James 4:4

MEMO. When you fully appreciate the above three scriptures, you will realize the depth of the false doctrines that ask you to be entangled with this world’s systems. Such teachings as modern tithing and Jesus as a rich

man [in the material sense] are abominations unto God Almighty. He will have the last word with those who continue to teach such lies. END MEMO.
