Chapter 8: Understanding God’s Word

You should be seriously concerned when your pastor misrepresents
what the Bible says. Concerned enough to immediately confront him or her with their apostasy. You should contact the elders or others who may have oversight authority and take whatever action you can. Do not live with apostasy, as God will hold you personally accountable for doing so.
When your pastor wants you to change the wording of the Bible, get up and walk out and never return again. Whether you realize it or not, you are in a house of Satan if the pastor teaches and instructs you to alter God’s
Word. Both of the above pastors have congregations that number in the thousands of members, but I didn’t see one of the members of either of these congregations rise to challenge the apostasy from their pastor. There is a herd mentality that is characteristic of any large group of people, which makes it difficult to speak out. The days of God holding the entire group
accountable for the sins of an individual like he did with Jericho are over. It is a different covenant. Today, he holds individual sinners accountable!
Those who alter the word of God in any way will find themselves in
serious trouble with a never changing God who says PLAINLY and CLEARLY: “DON’T MESS WITH My WORD [INSTRUCTIONS]!”
These pastors and others haven’t learned the fundamentals of teaching
the word of God. Yes, they don’t even understand the basics. God says you should not add anything to or remove anything from His Word. Let me repeat God’s instructions [commandments] once again for those who would be bold enough to teach the Word in any way that alters its plain meaning.
“Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.” Deut. 12:32
“If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the
holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Rev. 22:18-19
