Chapter 8: Understanding God’s Word
Page 3
The Psalmist continues with the unquestioned reality of this earthly life when he writes:
“Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows, and we are gone—as though we had never been here.” Psalm 103:15-16 NLT
You need to fully understand that you will be dead a lot longer than you are alive on this planet. You need to understand that we are all just passing through an earthly existence bound for either Heaven or Hell. God has provided us with the free will to choose our eternal destination. Yet if
you do not believe in those two eternal destinations, you cannot understand God; you lack a fundamental perspective needed for reading the Bible.
Ignorance of God’s Word will not be a viable excuse in Heaven. If
you think this, then you are mistaken. Consider the words of Jesus.
“Jesus answered and said to them, you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.” Matt 22:29
EXERCISE: Stop for a moment and count the remaining days of your life. I.E. If you plan to live to age 70, you would have a total of 365 x 70 or 25,550 days in your life. If you are now 40, you only have 30 years left or
10,950 days remaining. Eventually you will die no matter how long you live. Understand that good and evil exist together in this earthly existence. Understand also that God separates good and evil in the next life. Which eternal destination do you choose? If you fail to make a conscious decision,
your actions and behavior will make the choice for you. When you acknowledge the reality of an eternal life, you begin to understand God.
PRAYER: “God Almighty, my Heavenly Father and the God of my brother Jesus Christ whom You alone sent in the flesh to re-educate Your
people, hear my prayer. Enlighten the understanding of those who read these words that You have given me to write. Take the veil of deception off of all Christians. And above all, Glory and Honor be to You and blessed be Your ONENESS.” The Apostle Edward
