Chapter 8: Understanding God’s Word

The widening gap that grows with time looks like the graphic below.
The original 2% error at is not where the con artist or lying pastor stops. Once you let your guard down, the con artist or false teacher then continues to introduce additional small 2% errors [apostasies]. These errors are again so small that you won’t pick up on them either. If you do think something is
odd, you are not likely to connect the current apostasy [lie] with a prior one. Thus, in almost all cases, you will never see and understand the cumulative effects of the apostasy con that is underway.
If you do want to see the cumulative effects, you will have to drop back some distance from the situation to gain perspective from a new and fresh larger setting. In the case of apostasy, you must rely upon your own common sense and the clear and plain language of the Holy Bible. It is the proverbial forest and tree scenario. You can be so absorbed by the trees
[lies] that you do not understand you are in a forest [house of Satan].
You should also remember that the very idea of church swapping and moving into a new congregation is not an easy task. In fact, it is downright
scary and filled with all sorts of emotions. Still, if you walk with God, you will chuck the human friendships when they are “committed” to apostasy.
