Wow, what a contrast. In one case, you study for years to gain what you and those of the world believe to be a true understanding [skills]. In the

other, God Almighty gives you everything you need in an instant of time.

This, of course, brings us to another important issue when it comes to an understanding of God. Is God still active in the lives of men and women

today? Or, is God a pacifist sitting on the sidelines of humanity? The short answer from me is that God is very active in the lives of men and women who have a sincere heart for Him and His ways. He also will intercede in human events to ensure that His will unfolds. If you want to understand

God, you also have to understand that while He has given us a free will, our will does not trump God’s will or the will of other people.

Recall the discussion in chapter 6 [p 97] where you were taught that God respects our free will. Revelation 22:11 is cited as a Scripture proof.

While it is true that He respects our free will, it is the free will to choose our eternal destination. His love for us will constantly provide additional input in which we can re-evaluate our eternal choice. Therefore, at any moment or time in life, before our physical death, we can have a sincere change of heart

and find ourselves in the arms of a loving God. The fact that we have free will does not alter God’s will or the outcome that He ordains. That means God will intercede in human events, as He deems necessary or desirable to accomplish His goals. When and where God will intercede and whom He

will use to accomplish His goals are God’s choices. We can only observe those who are with God and those who are against God. Remember, we will know them by their fruits [actions]. It is a simple matter of good and evil.

An activist God is either very frightening or it is very comforting to people. I suspect this is the case for a variety of reasons and may not be an accurate indication [in itself] of which side of the fence people are on. I know I have scared a few people by telling them that God is as real to me as

they were. In fact, I could touch God just like I could touch them. Does this scare you? Why? To me, the fact that God will intercede on my behalf and give me direction to follow is not scary. It is both comforting and thrilling to me. Knowing I can walk with God brings great joy into my spirit. God is

not some abstract idea floating around in my mind. God is real and I have seen Him time and again manifest Himself to me in the physical realm. I
