Myth—Everybody Gets To Go

Unprepared Christians. How should the church deal with this issue?

Maybe it should start locking the church doors to give Christians practice showing up on time with a Bible? The church could have a few spare Bibles and after they’re gone, they could also reject anyone else who shows up without a Bible. Perhaps this would start training Christians that the word of

God does matter to their eternal life, because it guides their earthly behavior? That they need to show up on time prepared to shine their light.

That’s an interesting thought isn’t it? Eventually those serious about

God would wake up and those who presently care less would drop out. It would help prescreen the church population for Jesus albeit I don’t think the idea would go over well in most churches.

Jesus Defines The Wise And The Foolish!

We do not have to guess about who is wise and who is foolish, as Jesus has defined them in Matthew 7. Consider our Lord’s definition of wise and foolish.

Jesus’ definition of the wise:

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does

them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matthew 7:24

Jesus’ definition of the foolish:

“But everyone who hears these sayings of mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.” Matthew 7:26

Wise people are doers of the Word!

Foolish people are not doers of the Word!
