Myth—Everybody Gets To Go

The only reasonable answer is we live in a world where “wrong is

right.” Another headline read, “Attorney Hopes Texas Court Will Uphold pastor’s Rights” 27. Unbelievably, a Texas pastor is being sued for “following biblical mandates in administering church discipline.” If you don’t think that the church is under assault from within and without, you are

a very naïve person. I’ve already taught you that it is against criminal law in Canada to speak out against homosexuality. That includes reciting in public Bible verses that condemn homosexuality. Now, a pastor is being sued for following biblical instructions in his church. Everything is upside

down and wrong is right in too many cases. Satan has a “violent” minority that seeks to impose his evil will on the “silent” moral majority of God.

Another headline reads, “Pelosi: Marriage Amendment Discriminates Against Gays” 28. House Democrat Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said,

“The proposed constitutional amendment limiting marriage to heterosexual couples would be ‘an act of discrimination’ against gays.” So what! The U.S. Constitution discriminates against many other people as well. Those younger than 25 cannot run for the U.S. House. Those younger than 30

cannot run for the U.S. Senate. Those younger than 35 cannot run for the office of U.S. President. Isn’t that also discrimination? And exactly what is wrong with being a little discriminating in our judgment? Don’t we also morally discriminate against murderers with laws saying you can’t murder?

The opposite of discrimination is anarchy, where values have no meaning. Yet isn’t that where our society now finds itself? And isn’t our language now systematically perverted to support evil in an Orwellian double-speak?

So, exactly how is enforcing the Bible’s laws and moral code picking on people? If you’ve got an answer, let me know. Nobody forces people to live in a moral society. Certainly there are immoral places for those who want to live in an environment on anarchy. Are not the immoral minorities

of Satan violently corrupting and taking over our once moral society?

Another headline read, “Methodist Jury Convicts Lesbian Minister.” A jury made up of United Methodist Church clergy convicted the Rev.

Irene Elizabeth Stroud of violating church law by openly living with her female partner in a committed lesbian relationship. 29
