Myth—Everybody Gets To Go

Jesus Rejects Those Who Don’t Care For Others!

a. Feed the hungry b. Give drink to the thirsty c. Take in the stranger d. Clothe the naked

e. Visit the sick f. Visit those in prison

Jesus claims he was in these particular needy positions and the second

group of unrighteous people never really cared. They protest saying:

“Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?”

Matthew 25:44

Jesus responds.

“Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.” Matthew 25:45

I am wondering what Jesus will tell the pastor that literally dismantles the food, clothing programs and other ministries that serve the needy? When I joined the Elk River Assembly of God, it had these outreach ministries in place with people serving the needy. I then witnessed Pastor William Neal

Matthews systematically dismantle and shut down these ministries. Where does that put him in the eyes of Jesus? Woe to the pastor who eliminates and shuts down the ministries that God calls all of us in to serve the needy.

What about politics? Can’t we just force the government to take care of the needy with programs paid for by our taxes? No, we can’t and that is why Democrat policies hold no spiritual weight. God expects us humans to engage in these activities. There is no spiritual cover by claiming you’ve done your job by supporting a political party that promotes these ideals.
