Once again “consider” the words of Jesus as he describes two different methods and sets of criteria for you to enter into eternal life.

So he said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is

good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” He said to him [Jesus], “Which ones?” Jesus said, “You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, honor your father and your mother, and,

you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The young man said to him [Jesus], “All these things I have kept from my youth.” Matthew 19:17-20 NKJV

For Eternal Life, Obey God’s Commandments!

“And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, ‘Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’ He

[Jesus] said to him, ‘What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?’ So he answered and said, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and

your neighbor as yourself.’ And he [Jesus] said to him [the lawyer], ‘You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.’ ” Luke 10:25-28 NKJV

For Eternal Life, Love God With All Your Heart!

Was Jesus lying when he provided the above two instructions for entering into eternal life? Do you dismiss or ignore these words of Christ? If so, do you also ignore the words of Christ that state he only spoke what

God Almighty [his Father] told him to say? These are not Christ’s criteria; they are God’s!
