God Is Light! — 1 John 1:5

Apostle John’s instructions seem clear enough, but I will repeat them here so there can be no mistake. We are taught to walk in the light like Jesus did. We are taught that this light is from God. Finally, we are taught that IF we do walk in God’s light as Jesus walked, that is when “the blood of Jesus

Christ cleanses us from all our sin.” John amplifies what I have taught you by making clear that obedience to God’s word is a characteristic of all those who belong to the light, who belong to God.

“And how can we be sure that we belong to Him? By obeying His commandments. If someone says, ‘I belong to God,’ but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and does not live in the truth. But those who obey

God’s word really do love Him. That is the way to know whether or not we live in Him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Christ did.” 1 John 2:3-6 NLT

Jesus Lived Life In Obedience To God!

A while ago, the United States launched the Hubble telescope into space. When scientists attempted to look into the depths of our universe, they were shocked to find a corrupt image of everything they looked at.

What they saw was distorted by a faulty lens that they had to look through. Eventually, the lens was replaced and they could then see things clearly as they looked into the vast expanse of outer space.

Orthodox Christian doctrine contains a false lens in which Scripture is viewed. That false lens includes both the idea of Jesus as God and salvation in no other way. To rationalize countless scriptures that speak against such teachings, various doctrines such as our soul sleeping after death and Jesus

speaking instead of God [Yahweh] have been developed. Christians cannot understand the gift of Jesus unless they understand that orthodox trinity and salvation doctrines are also a corrupt lens in which scriptures are viewed.
