Chapter 14: The Gift of Jesus

From the phase of influence discussion, did you recognize the greatest

gift of Jesus? Think about these two facts. God started with man by direct verbal communications. God walked with us on earth. As a result of the cross, God has returned to us in a deeper more meaningful way. God now dwells within us, and His light guides our earthly path. While we still may

suffer on this earth, His Spirit comforts us and confirms to us where we are headed. Thus we have come full circle back to direct fellowship with God.

Like Apostle Paul, I tell you that God lives inside of me with His Son

and His Spirit(s). Do Jews or Muslims recognize this indwelling of God? They should! Verily I say unto you that this return to fellowship with God is the greatest gift of Jesus. It is why the Apostle Paul can say:

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live,

but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Because Paul received the greatest gift of Jesus …

“The Holy Spirit, whom He [God] poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our savior, that having

been justified by His [God’s] grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:4-7

Because God ordained this new covenant for each of us …

“For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’ ” 2 Cor. 6:16

And Jesus confirms this new covenant is for those who obey …

Jesus replied, “All those who love me will do what I say.

[Then] My Father will love them, and we will come to them and live with them.” John 14:23 NLT
