Chapter 7: Choices From The Heart
Page 38
There Are Two Spiritual:
♦ Tools [righteousness & sin]
♦ Turfs [God & Satan’s territory] ♦ Paths [narrow & wide]
♦ People [godly & ungodly] ♦ Choices [right & wrong] ♦ Directions [up & down]
♦ Destinations [Heaven & Hell]
Your choices will determine the final destination of your soul. When you give God your heart, His Spirit will make its home inside you and help you to steadfastly make righteous choices. Your soul is going to end up in
one of two places, either Heaven or Hell. Which choice will you make?
Now consider your choices when disaster strikes. If you buy into Christian mythology, you might think that nothing bad can happen to the
true believer. There are many who teach a theology of health and wealth to God’s people. If you suddenly find yourself sick, it must be because of your sin? If you are poor, it must be because you do not tithe? These topics will be discussed later in more depth. However, for now consider the misery that
Job encountered when Satan launched his attack.
Job was a “man blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil [Job 1:1].” If you will recall the story you will note that the
first disaster struck “when the Sabeans raided the oxen and donkeys” killing all the servants except the one telling the story. While the first servant was reporting another came saying “the fire of God fell from the Heaven and burned up the sheep and servants.” Again, only this second servant escaped.
