God’s people cannot be perfect; but they can surely try from a heart filled with God’s Spirit. When they stumble and find themselves in a sinful situation, regardless of the cause, they immediately repent with specifics to a forgiving and loving God. They keep a short list of their sins with God.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

“Cling tightly to your faith in Christ, and always keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately

violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.” 1 Tim. 1:19 NLT
