“Holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience.” 1 Tim. 3:9

“Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure

heart.” 2 Tim. 2:22

“To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind

and conscience are defiled.” Titus 1:15

Righteous Choices Come From A Pure Heart!

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the

wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” James 1:6-8

There is No Double-Mindedness In A Pure Heart!

The typical Christian today walks this wide path of destruction. They

are double minded and have hearts that are not pure with God. If they had a heart that was pure with God, they would not consider sin. Instead, they would flee from sin knowing full well the impact it has on eternal life. These people think that as long as they are “sometimes” righteous, that is all

they need. Their righteousness is like the scribes and Pharisees that Jesus talked about. They might do good works but they fall short of the minimum righteousness standard. It is Jesus who said: “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees,

you will by no means enter the kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 5:20
