serving them, I tell you today, you will most certainly perish; you will not live for long in the country which you
are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.”
“[19] Today, I call Heaven and earth to witness against you: I am offering you life or death, blessing or curse. Choose life, then, so that you and your descendants may live, in the
love of Yahweh your God, obeying His voice, holding fast to Him; for in this your life consists, and on this depends the length of time that you stay in the country which Yahweh swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that He
would give them.” Deuteronomy 30:8-20 NJB
God’s [Yahweh’s] message was clear to His people thousands of years ago. Likewise, it is equally clear today. No matter how many teachers
in Christianity tell you that your sin does not matter to God anymore, God’s Word tells you differently. You choose whom you will serve!
“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for
yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15
“Choose For Yourself Whom You Will Serve!”
The first choice of your heart is to give it to God. The second choice of your heart is to obey God. The third choice of your heart is to obey Jesus Christ. The fourth choice of your heart is to fellowship in a house of God that honors ALL of God’s Holy Word. The fifth choice of your heart is to not accept any teachings that discount, alter or dismiss any of the teachings
of God or Jesus Christ. The sixth choice of your heart is to fellowship with friends who are also righteous. These choices move you closer to God and farther away from Satan. When you make righteous choices from your heart, you move closer to God. When you make sinful choices from your
heart, you move closer to Satan. Copyright 2005 Edward G. Palmer, All Rights Reserved. Book of Edward—Chapter 7
