The False Salvation Doctrine,

— Limits Christ’s Salvation —

To Primarily Calling On the Name of Jesus!

Time and again God’s Holy Scripture is taken out of the context of the

Bible and especially out of the context of God’s eternal character. You will hear the message of salvation generally restricted to simply “calling on the name of Jesus.” The Scripture lifted out of context is one of several. I.E.

“Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:13 NLT

Apostle Paul is actually providing us with a citation from the book of the Prophet Joel in reference to God Almighty, not Jesus, as follows:

“And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Joel 2:32

Popular translations like the NIV, NRSV, KJV interpret the word “Lord” in Romans 10:13 by using the Greek word Kurios. It can mean Jesus Christ. The NKJV clarifies Paul’s reference to the Prophet Joel by using small caps on the word Lord. Therefore, it reads Lord, which means God or

Yahweh [vs Jesus Christ]. It is my opinion that the statement should read: “Anyone who calls on Yahweh [God] and His righteousness, shall be saved.” The reason for that conclusion should become apparent to you.

Let’s assume for discussion that Romans 10:13 is actually a reference to “calling on the name of Jesus.” However, if you want to count salvation on that verse, you should also be aware of these words that Jesus spoke.
